Blessings Abound,

The end of summer is quiet for me and for the Sacred Earth Center. So many of us are seeking out water – the only way to truly keep ourselves out in Nature, connected physically to the Mother. It’s been a time of resting and waiting for many of us, preparing for new projects and new waves of transformation.

We are preparing for the beginning of the new ministerial training program. The first class is Monday, September 13. The first module will be “How to Thrive in Changing Times” based on the book of the same title by Sandra Ingerman. It is not necessary to be part of the ministerial program to participate in this class. We will meet on Monday evening for 6 weeks. The time will be confirmed later. The cost is $20 per week.

Applications for the ministerial program are being accepted now. Contact me for info.

Starting August 10, and meeting every other Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:30, an Earth Healing Group will meet to offer prayers, meditation, and healing for the waters of the Earth. Please contact me if you’d like to take part.

The Didgeridoo Circle and Yoga Magic are on hiatus for the rest of the summer. Look for them to reconvene in September.

There will be a Fall Equinox Circle on Saturday, September 25, from 1:00 to 3:00. More info later.

We wish Rev. Dr. Mary Madeline Day many blessings as she leaves the Sacred Earth Center. She will continue to practice her healing arts from her home by telephone. Goodbye to Larry Hall

Rev. Dr. Larry Hall died peacefully on Wednesday, July 28. He was comfortable and happy, full of peace, and surrounded by loved ones.

Larry was an important part of the Sacred Earth Center. His gifts of laughter, love, and enlightenment continually nourished the people around him. We will miss his messages from spirit and his readings as they always encouraged our spirits, letting us know that we were never alone. We will miss his laughter as it always told us that the Path was one of light heartedness and joy. And we will miss the love he brought to his work and to his friends. The love of a friend is a safe haven and always appreciated.

A memorial service is planned for Sunday, August 15, at 4:00, at the Sacred Earth Center. All are welcome

Blessings Abound,

We began this summer with great change at the Sacred Earth Center. Previously, we had been a chapel of the Alliance of Divine Love. While we have great respect and love for the ADL, we are no longer under their auspices and are now an independent church in our own right. As such, we intend to extend our work beyond our walls. We will begin a Ministerial training and ordination program in early September. (However, individual work in the program may start sooner, if one desires.)

My spirit teachers spoke of the program: “Sacred Earth Ministers will be vessels of transformation on the planet. They will hold space for great healing for the Earth, for her Creatures, for Humanity. Yes, they will have the responsibilities of Ceremony, Teaching, Prayer, Counseling, and Healing, but, more than that, they will embody Compassion and Hope on the planet in this time of great change.” Contact me for info or application.

Thank you to all who have been doing their computer searches through Goodsearch and thus, donating to us. Due to our change, it is now necessary to type “Sacred Earth Center” in the organization line instead of ADL Chapel 691.

For those of you who aren’t aware or who need a reminder, if you use Goodsearch.com as your search engine and type “Sacred Earth Center” in the organization line, the Chapel receives a donation for each search. If you do this one time, your computer will remember the info and you won’t have to type the organization again. We certainly appreciate the support!

Please hold Rev. Larry Hall in your hearts as he has been ill for the last several weeks. Larry’s love has supported the chapel for so long and we are hoping to surround him as well as Dianne and Andrew with love right now.

The Book Sale has been postponed until later this year. We are still gratefully accepting book donations. Donations may be left at any time in the weatherproof book drop outside the door. We sell the used books about spirituality, metaphysics, alternative health, green living, etc. for minimal prices.

Reiki Circle on Saturday, July 10 from 1:00 to 4:30: Reiki practitioners of all levels are invited. We will have a distance healing circle, exchange mini healings and do creative work together. Please let me know if you are coming so that I may plan for space and tables. Donation: $5.

Earth Healing Group: I am calling together a small group who would like to work in ceremony, prayer, and healing for the benefit of the planet and humanity’s relationship with the planet. We will meet weekly or bi weekly for 4 to 6 meetings at a time which works for all. Please contact me if you would like to participate.

Meditation for Everyone - new monthly Saturday classes. Meditations for a Kind Heart: basic breathing, guided meditations and Buddhist teachings on improving our love and compassion for all beings, with Kadampa Buddhist Teacher Joanna Ching. Explore the Ancient Arts of Yoga and Sound: Join us for this once a week workshop, where we challenge old belief systems about ourselves, explore the body and expand the mind. Siddie guides us through some of the limbs of the ancient art of Yoga. Inspired by her own experience on the mat and in the world, We will begin to quiet the mind with simple meditation techniques, we'll charge up the body with vital life force through Pranayama-breath control exercises, and of course we will move through an invigorating and balancing Asana-physical posture- practice.

While Peter Levitov treats us to healing and entertaining sounds inspired by a wide variety of world instruments, including World percussion, Native American style flute, harmonica, Tibetan singing bowls, Tuvan jaw harp and throat singing, and of course the Didgeridoo.

Come join Siddie for an Introduction to Flight Saturday July 24th from 12-3 pm. Siddie will lead trust building partner postures and activities while we will learn how to deeply trust another person in a completely new way. A level one introduction to the basic elements of acrobatics and flight will be covered and we will practice flying each other. EFT is a healing aid that utilizes energy meridians. It is like acupuncture, but without the needles. The Sacred Earth Center has moved – right next door to our old space. We are still in Liberty Center, 3131 NW 13^th Street in Gainesville, but are now in Suite #41.

On March 20, from 12:00 to 4:00, we will gather for a potluck lunch, a dedication of our new space, and a Spring Equinox Circle. We will hold in the center of our circle the energy of our individual and group blossoming. Brings drums and rattles – or use ours – to raise energy for a group mandala and messages from Spirit. Let us know if you are coming, so that we can plan for space. My contact info is at the bottom of this email.

New Space

Our big news this month is that we are moving! We need a little more space and we have found it in the space just next door to where we are now. As of March 1^st , we will be in Liberty Center, 3131 NW 13^th Street, #41( instead of #42).

To nourish our moving fund, I (Sune O’Brien) am offering distance healings and readings – with the support of Reiki, Shamanic Journeying, and the Sacred Path cards, I offer healing as well as guidance and encouragement on the Spiritual Path. Holistic Health Fair

The Gainesville Holistic Health Fair will be held on Saturday, January 30, at the United Church of Gainesville, 1624 NW 5th Avenue, in Gainesville FL 32603 (at the corner of NW 17th Street and 5th Avenue). It will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tricia Sample and I will be there, enjoying the event, sharing info about the Sacred Earth Center, and selling the Essence Mists, healing stones, and a few other healing supplies. Rev. Mary Madeline Day will be offering a free workshop, “How EFT can be a Tool to Peace and Healing.” The workshop will take place at 1:00 in the Storytelling Room.

Blessings Abound,

This year, let’s pay close attention to the energy that we are sending out. We each have the opportunity to assist the healing of humanity and of the planet by radiating love and compassion.

It is easy to feel powerless when we watch decisions concerning our lives and the life of the planet being made from afar. Some of us empower ourselves by becoming politically active. But if political action is being done with the energy of anger or separation, it is creating division and radiating harmful energy. And it is important to realize that we are never powerless – we always have the opportunity to share kindness and compassion in our world, thus ending a little piece of separation and division.

Our inner work is the most important we can do – the work of transforming ourselves into beings that radiate love continually. If we are radiating love, our political and social work is so much more empowered – and leads to truer and deeper change in our society and our planet. And each personal interaction becomes an exchange of kindness – a truly earth changing possibility.

Upcoming Small Group Sound Healings

Peter Levitov is a musician and Reiki Mastership student who shares his Reiki (and other tools) through the Sacred Sounds of Didgeridoo, Native American Flute, Drums, Rattles, and more.

He is offering Sacred Music for healing to small groups at the Sacred Earth Center in the next few months. This experience is offered for a donation to Peter. Earth Spirit Healing Class starting in January

Earth Spirit Healing is a series of Earth Centered experiences given to me by my own experience and by teachers from various realms. These experiences introduce the participant to shamanic practice and shamanic healing. They deepen our experience of Earth, of Humanity, of ourselves, and of Creator. These teachings are shared by experience and by ceremony and a minimum of “teaching by talk.”

Experiences include Shamanic Journeying, Stone Spirit Healing, Making and Using Flower and Stone Essences, Shamanic Healing, and more. A completion of the whole series results in certification as Earth Spirit Healing Practitioner. However, parts of the series may be taken on their own, for their individual benefit.

Reiki Training in Lake City

Level One Reiki Training will begin Wednesday, January 27 in Lake City. We will meet for 4 weeks, on Wednesdays, from 7:00 to 9:00, at Healings Café and Yoga Studio. This is a lovely setting, spiritually conducive to the opening we experience in our hearts, minds, and hands through Reiki Training. Cost is $100, which may be paid in payments of $25 per week. There will be an open discussion and demonstration of Reiki Healing at the café on Wednesday, January 20^th from 7:00 to 9:00 (free of cost). Blessings Abound,

There is a spirit of generosity around the Sacred Earth Center Healing Chapel these days and we are so grateful to be experiencing and expressing it. I am reminded every day that generosity is a most important spiritual quality – so important for us to be opening to and growing at this time in our world and in our culture.

Generosity goes hand in hand with Gratitude – they form a circle as one opens to the other and then back again. It is easy to fall out of this circle as difficulties come in to our paths, but, really, just as easy to fall back into the circle as little and big blessings make themselves apparent when we open our spiritual eyes. I am grateful for every moment at the Chapel and every being that comes in the door. I am grateful for the energies and the mission in which we immerse ourselves and am so eager to share it with all of you.

You can enter the energy of the Chapel on Saturday, November 14, at our Used Book Sale. So many of us have books collecting dust on our bookshelves. It’s not too late to donate them and share the wisdom. Bring them by the Chapel at any time. We have a weatherproof book drop outside the door! If you have lots, we can try to come and pick them up! And on Saturday, find new, gently loved books to bring joy to your mind, heart and body for very little cash! We will be there from 10:00 to 5:00. Blessings Abound,

In this heat, most of us are finding our way to water. Sitting, floating, or swimming in cool water presents us with a beautiful way to experience and give thanks for the elements. Tune into the slow, warm summer breeze brushing your skin – give thanks to Air. Allow your body to be held and fed by the water – give thanks to Water. Turn your face to the sun and soak in its life giving warmth – give thanks to Fire. Let your toes or fingers touch soil, rocks, grass – give thanks to Earth. Know that our lives cannot exist without these elements – these supporting beings who nourish us and meet our every physical need. Know that these are gifts of Creator – constant evidence of Divine Love alive in each of our beings and lives. And allow gratitude to become more than a word or a sentiment. Allow gratitude to permeate your being and become your life’s breath.

Shaman’s Touch Training

I am calling together a small group for Shaman’s Touch Training. Shaman’s Touch is: Tera Mai Reiki, Core Shamanic principles and practices, and a myriad of energy healing techniques for self and others. Expect: to have doors in mind and heart flung open wide, to have intuitive and healing tools and abilities grow and expand, to give and receive healings, and to enjoy yourself immensely. Level One will be a 16 hour class, meeting 4 times for 4 hours. Cost is $300, which may be paid in payments of $75 at each meeting. You will receive a certificate for Level One Shaman’s Touch and a certificate for Level One Tera Mai Reiki. You must have completed or be in the process of completing Usui Reiki Level One to register for this class.

Earth Spirit Healing

Earth Spirit Healing is a series of workshops exploring shamanic healing practices. Enjoy one or more workshops or enjoy all of them. Completion of all 13 workshops (some workshops require two or three meetings) results in certification as an Earth Spirit Healing Practitioner.

My inspiration this month is beyond words. I spend the Spring in the garden – body, mind, heart, and spirit. In the garden there are no words. There is just the breath and the heartbeat of the Mother. There is a fullness of Spirit and a Grace that I can only breathe out to the world – not describe. Blessings Abound,

Lately I’ve been pondering the question “How can I consciously make my life – my being – a place where God/dess can work – can live – can thrive?” The desire to make the Chapel a place where, not just the presence, but the work of Divine Love is palpable has naturally given way to a desire to deepen the presence of Divine Love within my being and my life. And to feel the presence is not enough. The desire is to create my life as a place where God/dess can work. The desire is to open all of the energetic doors to miracles.

I am reminded that miracles occur every day. The opening of a flower is a miracle. The softening of the heart in a relationship where hard feelings have had reign is a miracle. A heartfelt “have a good day” is a miracle. This life is a miracle. A quiet transition from this life to the next is a miracle.

I am told by my spirit teachers that recognizing these miracles is key to allowing God/dess’ work to flourish. Recognizing these miracles nourishes the natural gratitude that lives within all of us. Living and being in this gratitude is the only real way to dissolve the barriers to the goodness of the Universe in ourselves and in the world.

Blessings All,

I finally read Sandra Ingerman’s little book, “How to Heal Toxic Thoughts.” She is a favorite author, but I had been somewhat resistant to reading this book, thinking of it as “old news” – stuff with which I have been familiar for a long time.

Oh my! She reminds me that thought forms are real – every thought pattern affects the world and all its beings. Every grumble or judgment, spoken or silent, affects my world, the world of the person at which it is directed, and the planet as a whole. In this quick read are non-preachy suggestions for cleaning up my thoughts and brilliant inspiration for doing so.

I’m left thinking that I can be a kinder, gentler being, inside and out. I’m left knowing that this is the most important Earth Healing work that I can do. I’m left believing that a kinder, gentler world can be created. And I am so grateful.

As we enter 2009, let’s hold open the energetic doorway to a sense of abundance, compassion, peace, and well being that comes from within – that is unattached to outside circumstances. Blessings All,

Many of us are elated with the election of a new president. Many of us share renewed hope – hope for a new direction in the government of our country. Perhaps our country will turn towards being a force for good, for ourselves and for the world – more than it has in recent years. But it is so important not to place the responsibility for change on someone or something outside of ourselves – not on a government, not on a president, not on a spiritual leader. A leader cannot “save” us. A leader reflects what is going on inside each of us – inside our lives and inside our hearts. The world cannot change until each of us begins to change – to convert our beings and our lives into places of peace, respect, and grace. The thinking that war, environmental distress, economic failure, etc. are caused by “THEM” and forced upon “US” creates the havoc which we think we are fighting against. There is only “Us.” There is no “Them.” When we truly embrace that truth - in our hearts, in our minds, in our lives - we will see the beauty for which we so fervently hope manifested in the world.

Winter Gatherings at the Sacred Earth Center:

Monday Evening Prayer Circle meets around 7:00pm each Monday.

“Opening the Shaman’s Door”, Thursday evening, November 6, 6:00 to 9:00pm, Sacred Earth Center, $25 – This workshop is a prerequisite for all of the Earth Spirit Healing shamanism workshops. Shamanism is the oldest spiritual practice known to humans. In this workshop we will discuss the basics of Shamanic practice. We will explore the elements (fire, air, water, earth). We will journey to meet a power animal. And we will perform a gratitude ceremony. Bring a notebook to record thoughts and messages. Bring water to keep yourself hydrated – so important when doing transformational work. This workshop will not be offered again until February.

This is a Earth Spirit Healing Workshop and it’s best if you have participated in an “Opening the Shaman’s Door” workshop.

In participating in all of the Earth Spirit Healing workshops, you will become an Earth Spirit Healing practitioner. However, it is not necessary to come to all of the workshops if you are not interested in becoming a practitioner – each workshop is designed to stand alone and is open to everyone regardless of his/her intent towards Earth Spirit Healing.

Blessings, All,

This month marks 10 years that I have spent with Reiki. It is also 10 years that I have been laying healing hands on others. Words cannot express my gratitude. 10 years ago, doors were opened in my heart, in my mind, in my body, in my life, in my Soul. I embraced Reiki as more than a healing modality. I embraced Reiki as a spiritual path – a path of surrender and trust that deepens every day. Over the years, it grew into a deeply fulfilling shamanic path. I have learned, I have grown, I have changed – and I am learning, growing, changing still. I find so much joy in being with others in their times of transition and growth. I find so much joy in my own private experience. Like all of us, I have come so far, and I have so far to go. I trust that Reiki will show me the way.

I thank all of you that have been, are currently, and will be a part of my path. I hope that I have contributed to you at least a part of what you have given me. Namaste.

Blessings All,

A Creation Story:

And so, the great Light and Love of Mother God stretched out her hand and brought forth a seed. And on that seed she lavished love and attention, until it burst and brought forth a beautiful flower bud. And when the petals of the flower bud opened wide, there came forth a Holy Being. And the Being was so filled with love from Mother God that she felt a great need to share that love.

She searched the Universe until she came across a place which her conscience could not overlook – a place whose need for love was as great as her need to share love. And she began to look deep into her soul for the best way to meet that need. Eventually, she had a vision – a plan to fill the emptiness that she had seen.

She took her plan to Mother God. Mother God was filled with great pride and compassion for the Holy Being. Mother cautioned her that, once her plan began to unfold, she may not remember her divine beginnings. She may not remember her vision. But she would always have the choice to remember Mother God. “You will need only to look toward me and you will remember the love of your creation. That love will empower you to go forth with your vision and your love,” Mother said.

Mother then poured her immense love upon the vision and upon the Holy Being, who bloomed once more, this time into a tiny being who Mother placed inside the womb of a human mother, who had herself originated as a seed brought forth by Mother God.

Saturday, August 30, 1:00 – 4:00 “Opening the Shaman’s Door: An Introductory Experience and Discussion of Shamanic Practices and Principles” Shamanism is the oldest spiritual practice in the history of humanity. Relationship with Earth, with Creator, and with Beings of every realm open doors to healing, to wholeness, and to spiritual ecstasy. This is the first of a series of workshops that I (along with many teachers and guides) have developed called “Earth Spirit Healing.” Earth Spirit Healing works with elements and teachers of Nature to deepen the spiritual Path and assist others in healing into wholeness and authenticity. Come to one or more of the workshops and/or ceremonies, or complete the whole series of thirteen workshops. Completion of the whole series results in Earth Spirit Healing Practitioner Certification. In this first discussion, we will discuss core Shamanic practices and principles. We will take a journey to meet a Power Animal. We will experience the elements – earth, air, fire, and water – within our bodies. And we will perform a Shamanic Gratitude Ceremony. Donation $20 – Registration helpful.

Monday Evening Prayer Circle meets at around 7:00pm every week. On Monday, September 22, we will be observing the Fall Equinox.

Open House Party on Friday, September 12, from 1:00 to 8:00. Mini-sessions will be available: Readings, Reiki, Spiritual Healing, Quantum Biofeedback. A guided meditation will take place at 2:00 and a Spiritual Empowerment Ceremony will take place at 4:00. Blessings All,

There seems to be a lot of talk of scarcity lately. Everywhere we turn we are hearing about the failing economy, rising prices, etc. I also hear a lot about manifestation – a lot of us are working on manifesting abundance – which we often define in terms of money and material possessions. When I hear all of this – and when I indulge in it myself – my guidance reminds me that prosperity, in Truth, has nothing to do with money, cars, jobs, and so on. Prosperity is an attitude we carry in our Hearts. It is a feeling of constant gratitude. When we define abundance as having “enough” material resources and possessions, we eventually find that there is never “enough.” We are trying to fill a well that can only be filled by Spirit. The things that lead to true abundance – an abundance of Spirit – are not material. Kindness, prayer, silence, communion – these things are not material and yet they fill us with a sense of fullness that can only be described as abundance. True prosperity is the ability to dwell in the richness of each moment – to feel each moment in its fullness and to be filled with gratitude. There is no moment that is not filled with miracles. It is the work (and play!) of those on the spiritual Path to open ourselves to the experience of the miracles in each moment. I am reminded constantly that this kind of prosperity is an important spiritual goal – a much more worthy use of spiritual power and energy than is manifestation work.

Affirmation/Prayer: “I recognize the abundance of this moment. I live and breathe in gratitude.”

My last email letter was in April – over two months ago. I have been working with health challenges during this time, getting to know the microcosm of my own Life a little more deeply. Most of my adult life has been spent learning to pace myself – learning to match my enthusiasm and commitments with the strength of my body and mind. Sometimes, as was the case recently, I slip up and end up spending time at home, resting and dealing with the intricacies of my physical being. At the same time, I find myself sinking more deeply into my own soul. Realizing that Spirit never asks of us more than is physically prudent, I find myself realigning with Spirit, realigning with my own Truth, in a space of deep awareness of the work that I am meant to do and the Life I am meant to live. Ready to listen more closely to my heart, more closely to Holy Spirit, I emerge, my realignment part of the realignment of the planet – part of your realignment, as your realignment is part of mine.

My Truth supports your Truth and vice versa. And Heaven and Earth are One.

There is so much talk about manifestation these days – about the ancient idea that our thoughts and words manifest our daily realities. There is a lot of talk about manifesting prosperity – that desired income, house, car, that desired perfect mate. Can we look into the deeper, more lasting implications of manifestation? Can we change our patterns of thinking and speaking to allow more hope into the world? Can my thoughts and words contribute to a healing of humanity’s relationship with Mother Earth? Do my thoughts and words contribute to disharmony between people, between species? How can I change my thoughts and my words to fuel changes for the Mother and the beings who live with her?

In this month’s “Transmutation News” Sandra Ingerman offers the following Springtime Journey:

”I continue to write that words and thoughts are seeds that grow into plants. And I have asked you to consider if you are growing plants of love and inspiration or plants of fear and hate.

Blessings All,

“In the beginning, there is nothing. In this nothing, in what Dionysius calls “the dazzling obscurity of the secret silence,” empty yet vibrant and fertile, a divine spark of inspiration appears. At first it is only the slightest glimmer and has no substantial existence. This impulse then proceeds into the realm of the angelic intelligences, who clothe it with specific qualities….” (Richard Smoley, “Inner Christianity”). And so, all manner of Creation grows and blossoms.

Many of us are entering the New Year on the wings of inspiration. The excitement is palpable. There are crossroads everywhere. I, myself, am entering 2008 with visions of doors opening in every direction – in my own Life, in the Life of the Sacred Earth Center, and in the Life of the Mother and her inhabitants. It is truly a blessed time – a time of change, a time of upheaval, a time of New Life, a time of New Beginnings.

The Sacred Earth Center is entering the year in our new home. We will officially open on Monday, January 7 at 3131 NW 13^th Street, Suite #8. This is in the Liberty Center office park, a little ways North of Sam’s and Walmart, on the same side of the street. Entering the parking lot, we are in the first building on the right.

The Sacred Earth Center is a Healing Chapel – a Sacred Space offering Prayer, Meditation, Ceremony, and Spiritual Healing. We are a training chapel for Spiritual Healers. This is a Sacred Space of Transformation. We are transforming the Earth through transforming ourselves, through supporting each other’s transformation, and through direct relationship and healing with the Earth Mother. We honor and seek unity with Creator. We honor and seek unity with the Divinity in All Life. We live and breathe in Gratitude. We honor the many ways by which the Divine is known and the many paths to union with the Divine. We recognize healing and transformation as the removal of barriers to the fullest expression of Love in our beings and in our lives. We recognize a healer as anyone who brings transformative energy to any situation, place, or Being. We honor the Path of the Circle and are dedicated to exploring in small, focused circles.

I continue to offer Spiritual Healing, utilizing Gentle Touch, Sacred Earth Essences, Stone Spirits, and Journeying. I continue to offer small group and individual training in Reiki, Shamanic Touch, and Earth Spirit Healing. I continue to offer distance Readings on the Sacred Path.

On Saturday, January 19, Rev. Louise Link will be offering Intuitive Insights for the New Year – An Afternoon of Readings and Messages from Spirit. Thirty minute private readings offering insight into your 2008 are available by appointment or walk in (appointments strongly encouraged). The New Year – a time of change and renewal - is the perfect time to connect with your Spirit Guides, Angels, and Departed Loved Ones. Rev. Louise directly channels their messages to you at this time. Rev. Louise is a Channel and teacher of experience and dedication. She will be offering training in developing your own intuitive gifts at the Chapel in the near future. Blessings All,

Go to the nearest place in Nature. Lie down on the Earth. Breathe deeply into your belly. Breathe deeply into the Mother. Feel the Mother breathe into you. Allow your breath to synchronize with Her breath. Allow yourself to rest there. Rest fully in Her provision, Her strength, Her love.

Let your breath rise into the Sun. Let the Father breathe his light into you. Breathe with the Father. Allow yourself to rest in His breath. Rest fully in His light, His warmth, His love.

Breathe with the Mother and the Father together. Let yourself be filled and surrounded with their breath. Feel yourself supported, cherished, nurtured. Rest.

During the winter season, much of Nature rests, giving us the message and the motivation to step back a bit from our outer lives. We enter the quiet of our inner lives – and rest. We rest in the Mother. We rest in the Father. We rest in Creator. We rest in our Divine Selves.

Solstice Circle

Winter Solstice is Saturday, December 22. We will gather for Sacred Circle that morning at 10:00 at Westside Park, at the corner of NW 8^th Avenue and NW 34^th Street. I will send a message later with the exact location in the park. We will share prayer and a Burning Bowl Ceremony (with a candle – not a camp fire!!!) In a Burning Bowl Ceremony, we release anything we do not wish to carry into the New Year. We then expand our hearts and our visions to welcome what we want for the New Year. Bring something (chair, blanket, etc.) to sit on and something to write with (paper and pen).

Update on our New Location

We have not yet settled on a new location for a Gainesville chapel, though we now have a few possibilities before us. I am finding my way through the legalities and language of opening a chapel, finding it a bit complicated, but glad for the education. We are still raising money for moving expenses, finding unexpected costs here and there. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to the moving fund (checks made out to Alliance of Divine Love (or ADL) Chapel #691) Better still, come in and have a healing, purchase a product, or have an email reading – All proceeds support the move and operations of the Sacred Earth Center.

For 8 years the Seraphim Center has provided me with sacred space in which to do my work. Rev. Bob has always made it financially possible for me to keep working. He has honored this work and provided support in so many other ways (seen and unseen) as well. Words cannot express my gratitude and well wishes for the exciting future of the Seraphim Center and Rev. Bob.

Another message of Rest

The Light Center, in Black Mountain, North Carolina, shares their prayer focus for December:

“The twelfth fruit on the Tree of Life is Rest. This is not our idea of rest, blissful though that may be, but the Divine concept of Rest. Every time you are in an attitude of prayer—true prayer that is not asking, nor even listening, but simply being One with the Divine within—you experience Rest.

So Divine Rest is an absence of thinking, of retaining this experience, even of acknowledging the wonder of the Oneness. It is an absence of purposefully co-creating with the Divine, although as we Rest in Light, we automatically create divinely.

Divine Rest goes beyond releasing to Light or changing to Light, because that process—important as it is—requires verbalizing. Even silent verbalizing engages the mind so that it is not at Rest. Thanking God in words, silent or otherwise, keeps the mind from Rest. So Rest is obviously not a 100 percent engagement.

But what we can do, as often as possible and especially when stress signals tighten our solar plexus and heart, is just stop and fill our physical (and expanded) body with Light and with Gratitude. In this space we simply let go of all thought processes and, as the saying goes, Let God. Let God be God throughout our being, without thought, without judgment, without imaging anything but Light.

This is not easy, but it is definitely attainable, because you are God’s beloved and all God’s fruits are yours. Rest in God’s all-encompassing Love.”
